Before You're a Patient

Reaching Out

Most patients begin with an email or contact form. If your case is complex — particularly oncology cases — we'll often schedule a brief discovery call before booking a full initial visit, just to make sure we're the right fit.

Before Your First Visit

Onboarding

Once you decide to become a patient, you'll receive access to our secure patient portal. Before your first visit, you'll complete intake paperwork, upload existing records, and tell us anything else we should know.

  • Account created in our HIPAA-compliant patient portal
  • Comprehensive intake forms (medical history, current medications, symptoms, goals)
  • Upload prior labs, imaging reports, and pathology if applicable
  • Sign consent forms and review practice policies
  • Initial visit billed at time of booking

The First Visit

A 60-Minute Foundation

Your initial visit is a full hour via secure video. We'll discuss your case in depth, refine the working hypotheses, set the care plan in motion, and discuss what testing or protocols come next. You'll leave with clarity, not more questions.

Within 5 Business Days

Your Personalized Plan

After your visit, Dr. Shelly finalizes your written care plan and delivers it through your patient portal. Lab orders are placed, supplement protocols are loaded into Fullscript, and your follow-up cadence is scheduled.

Follow-Up Care & Iteration

The first visit sets the foundation. Real progress happens through follow-ups paced to your specific case — sometimes annual check-ins, sometimes weekly during a difficult chapter. Always coordinated, always intentional.
